Getting Started with Keyword Conflict Analysis in Linkilo AI

What is the Keyword Conflict Tool?

The Keyword Conflict tool is your proactive AI Consultant. It doesn’t just list pages that are fighting for the same keyword; it reads your content and tells you exactly which page should win.

While the Keyword Specialist shows you an inventory of “who has what,” the Keyword Conflict tool analyzes “who should have what.”

⚠️ Why is this critical?

If two pages target the same keyword (e.g., “Coffee Brewing”), Google gets confused and may rank neither of them. This tool solves that by designating one clear winner.

Smarter Internal Linking, Zero Effort

Link suggestions appear right inside your editor. One click, and it's done.

Try the Plugin

Part 1: Running the Analysis

  1. Navigate to Linkilo AI > Keyword Conflicts.

  2. Click “Run New Analysis”.

  3. The AI will scan your site to find posts targeting identical or nearly identical terms.

Part 2: The AI Recommendation (The Magic Part)

When Linkilo finds a conflict, it doesn’t just leave you to guess. It provides a clear AI Recommendation card for every issue.

Understanding the Recommendation

For every conflict group, you will see a card like this:

🎯 Best Match: Assign “coffee brewing methods” to “French Press vs. Espresso: Which Method to Consider?”

📊 Reasoning: The AI analyzed both posts and determined this page is the most relevant overall match for the user’s search intent.

What the AI does behind the scenes:

  • It reads the content of all conflicting pages.

  • It compares the depth, user intent, and relevance of each page.

  • It calculates which page deserves to be the “Primary” authority for that keyword.

Part 3: Resolving the Conflict

You have three simple choices based on the AI’s advice:

  1. ✅ Accept Best Match (Recommended):

    • Click the “Assign as Primary” button next to the post the AI recommended.

    • Result: Linkilo will prioritize this post for all future internal links and keyword assignments.

  2. 📌 Assign Manually:

    • Disagree with the AI? You can choose a different post to be the “Primary” target.

    • Result: You override the AI, and Linkilo will respect your choice.

  3. 🙈 Ignore:

    • If the “conflict” is intentional (e.g., two distinct products with similar names), click Ignore.

    • Result: The alert disappears, and no changes are made.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will this tool automatically delete my posts?

A: No. Linkilo only identifies the conflict. You must manually choose to edit, merge, or redirect content.

Q: I use RankMath/Yoast. Does this conflict with them?

A: No, it works with them. Linkilo reads the data they provide to make its analysis more accurate.

Q: What is a “Conflict Score”?

A: This is Linkilo’s internal metric calculating how likely Google is to get confused. It looks at Title tags, H1 headers, and Focus Keywords. A score of 80+ (High) requires immediate attention.

Q: How is this different from the “Link Cannibalization” tool?

A:

  • Keyword Conflict (This Tool): “I accidentally wrote two articles about ‘Pizza’.”

  • Link Cannibalization: “I linked to my Contact page using the word ‘Pizza’.”
