Linkilo AI Settings

Go Back to Main Knowledgebase

The Linkilo AI Settings page is the central control panel for the plugin. This is where you connect your OpenAI account, choose your AI models, configure how the “Related Posts” widget looks, and define the logic for your Topic Clusters.

Navigate to: Linkilo AI > Settings

Tab 1: AI Settings (The Engine Room)

Linkilo-AI-Settings

This is the most critical tab. Without configuring this, the AI features (clustering, linking, and related posts) will not work.

1. Core AI Configuration

  • OpenAI API Key: You must enter a valid OpenAI API key here.

    • Action: Paste your key and click “Test API Key” to verify the connection.

  • AI Model: Choose which “brain” Linkilo uses.

    • GPT-4o Mini (Recommended): Best balance of cost and speed (~85% accuracy of GPT-4o at a lower cost).

    • GPT-4o: Highest quality, best for complex logic, but costs more.

  • Embedding Model: Selects how the AI “reads” your content similarity.

    • Recommendation: Use text-embedding-3-large for the best semantic understanding.

2. Tuning the AI

  • Suggestion Quality Threshold (0.1 – 0.9): Controls how strict the AI is when finding links.

    • 0.4 – 0.6: Balanced (Recommended).

    • 0.8+ Only extremely relevant matches.

  • Advanced Keyword Conflict Resolution:

    • Enable intelligent conflict detection: Prevents two posts from targeting the same keyword.

    • Intent-Based Smart Linking: Tells the AI to look at User Intent (e.g., Informational vs. Commercial) when suggesting links.

3. AI Rules & Guidelines

  • Custom Rules: Use the “Add New Rule” button to create guardrails.

    • Example: “Maximum Links Per Section” = 3.

    • Example: “Exclude Commercial Anchors” = True.

4. AI Content Processing (Crucial Step)

At the bottom of this tab is the “Start AI Content Processing” button.

  • What it does: It downloads your posts, generates keywords, and creates the “embeddings” data needed for clustering.

  • When to run: You must run this initial setup once. Afterward, run it only when you have added significant new content or changed your AI Model.
