How to Connect Google Search Console to Linkilo

Why connect GSC

When Linkilo is connected to Google Search Console it can:

  • Pull the keywords each page actually ranks for and use them as link-suggestion candidates
  • Run keyword cannibalization reports (find cases where multiple pages compete for the same keyword)
  • Show you query data alongside your link analysis

Step-by-step

  1. WordPress → Linkilo → Settings → Search Console
  2. Click Authorize Linkilo
  3. A Google sign-in window pops up — select the Google account that owns the GSC property for your site
  4. Approve the requested permissions (read-only access to Search Console data)
  5. You'll be redirected back to Linkilo's settings
  6. Click Fetch Sites — Linkilo retrieves the list of properties your Google account has access to
  7. Select your site from the list
  8. The connection is now active

Run your first scan

  1. Go to Linkilo → Focus Keywords
  2. Click Perform Scan
  3. Confirm the prompt and click OK
  4. Wait for the success notification

If the scan fails

This usually means another plugin or background job is competing for resources. Try again after a few minutes. If it keeps failing:

  • Make sure the GSC property is verified for the exact URL of your site (with or without www, http or https — they're separate properties in GSC)
  • Confirm you have at least 16+ days of GSC data — newer sites won't show keywords yet
  • Try disconnecting and re-authorizing the GSC connection

Disconnecting

If you ever need to revoke Linkilo's access:

Either method works.
