Link Equity Calculator

Every page has a finite amount of authority to pass on. Scan a URL or enter the numbers yourself to see how much link equity each internal link carries β€” and how piling on more links quietly dilutes every one of them.

We fetch the page on our server and count its links β€” your browser never makes a cross-site request.

The share of equity a page passes on. Classic PageRank uses 0.85 β€” leave it unless you know otherwise.

Tip: links to your money pages and pillars should sit on pages that pass the most equity β€” high authority, few outbound links.

Internal linking is the highest-leverage SEO lever you fully control. Search engines treat a link as a vote, and a page only has so many votes to give. When a page receives authority, it keeps a portion and passes the rest along its outbound links β€” split between every followed link on the page.

The damping factor (classically 0.85) represents the share of authority that flows onward rather than being retained. The remaining 15% never reaches the next page. So a page with an authority score of 100 passes on roughly 85, divided equally across its links.

This is why link bloat hurts: a page with 8 thoughtful links passes ~10.6 equity each, but stuff the same page with 80 links and each one carries barely 1.1. Your most important pages get buried in the noise. The fix is to keep high-value pages lean and point them deliberately at the pages you actually want to rank.

This scans one page. Linkilo does it across your whole site β€” automatically.
