How to Bulk-Import Keywords with a CSV

Why bulk import

If you've already done keyword research in a spreadsheet — keyword mapping in Google Sheets, an Ahrefs / Semrush export, a custom strategy doc — you can upload it directly to Linkilo instead of typing keywords in one post at a time.

Prepare the CSV

The CSV needs two columns:

  • URL — the page or post URL on your site
  • Keywords — keywords for that URL, separated by | (pipe) if there's more than one

Example row:

https://yoursite.com/best-coffee/,best coffee|best coffee maker|cheap coffee maker

Save as .csv (UTF-8 if you have non-ASCII characters).

Upload locations

There are two places in Linkilo you can upload bulk keywords:

Option 1 — Focus Keyword section

  1. Linkilo → Focus Keywords
  2. Click Bulk Import Keywords
  3. Choose your CSV
  4. Click Upload

This applies keywords across multiple URLs in one shot — best for batch work.

Option 2 — Inside an individual post

  1. Open the post in the editor
  2. Scroll to the Linkilo panel
  3. Click Bulk Import
  4. Upload the CSV (the importer will only apply keywords for matching URLs)

Use this when you want to import keywords for a single URL.

After the import

All keywords from the CSV are attached to their URLs and become part of Linkilo's link-suggestion engine immediately. You can verify by opening any URL from the CSV and looking at the All Keywords section in the Linkilo panel.

Tips

  • Quote phrases with commas in your CSV. Otherwise the keyword Best, Cheap Coffee gets split into two keywords.
  • One URL per row — duplicate URLs across multiple rows confuse the importer.
  • Test with 5 rows first to confirm the format before uploading thousands.
