How to Exclude a URL from the Orphan Page Report

When you'd exclude a page from the report

The orphan page report flags pages that have no internal links pointing to them. Usually that's a problem you want to fix — but sometimes you intentionally don't want a page to receive internal links:

  • A/B test landing pages that should only be accessible via paid ads
  • High-converting landing pages you don't want diluted with general site traffic
  • Thank-you / confirmation pages that should only follow a form submission
  • Hidden offer pages for specific email campaigns

For those cases, you can tell Linkilo to leave the page out of the report so it doesn't show up as "needs internal links."

Step-by-step

  1. WordPress → Linkilo → Settings → Content & Ignored Words
  2. Scroll to the Ignore URLs section
  3. Look for Exclude from Orphan Report
  4. Add the URL (or URL pattern) you want excluded
  5. Click Save

The URL is now ignored by the orphan page scan and won't show up in the report.

Excluding multiple URLs

Add one URL per line. You can include exact URLs, or patterns for entire sections:

  • Exact: https://yoursite.com/landing/black-friday-2026/
  • Pattern: https://yoursite.com/landing/* (excludes everything under /landing/)

Removing the exclusion

To bring a page back into the report, just delete it from the Ignore URLs list and Save.

Other Ignore URL options

The same Ignore URLs section also has options to exclude URLs from other Linkilo reports — Same URL detection, link suggestions, etc. Useful for surgically tuning which pages Linkilo touches.
